Terms & Conditions of Trade

Turnaround times will vary depending on the nature of the work and current bookings in the studio.

Please confirm with us if you have a specific deadline you wish us to aim for.

Items considered by Product Image to be too large or too heavy are to be quoted separately for both photography and freight.

All package pricing deals are 100% subject to approval based on your individual project requirements.

We may refuse or decline to take on or cancel at any time any job at our discretion without any reason needed to be given to the customer.

Package prices are based on availability and may change without notice at any time based on demand and availability of our team.

Pick up and return service nationally are for packages up to 25kg and no larger than 57cm x 57cm.

An increase in weight or size will incur extra 3rd party freight costs.

Images provided by Product Image will be delivered upon receipt of cleared payment using credit card or PayPal.

Final images will not be released before full payment has been received.

Pricing generally will be displayed exclusive of GST, which will be charged at 15%.

Once cleared payment has been received the images will be made instantly available online and also sent out on a CD or DVD (if required).
Mockup images are presented to our clients for approval before the final shoot takes place before payment is requested.

Based on this approval system, we cannot offer refunds against our photographic images after the images have been approved and payment has been made.

If a booked photography slot in our studio is cancelled by our client, the studio requires a minimum of 24 hours notice.

Failure to do this will result in a penalty of 25% of the total quoted price for the job payable to Product Image Photography.

Product Image Photography respects your privacy.

When you pay for your images using your credit card, we do not retain this information in any form. Following your successful payment transaction, your details are destroyed.

Product Image do not pass any details on to any third party and all of our clients contact details are kept securely, remain confidential and are never shared, disclosed or given out.

Whilst our clients’ products are at our studio and being transported to and from our studio there is no insurance coverage provided.

You must ensure that your product are fully insured by your own insurance company while at our studio and in transit, and it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the insurance is sufficient to cover the goods transported and stored in our studio.

Product Image Photography will accept no responsibility for products lost or damaged in, to or from our studios.

Our staff will take the up most care when unpacking, opening, handling and repacking your products.

But in the rare event something happens and a product is damaged, destroyed or lost we will provide no compensation or replacement. You must ensure that your own insurance covers your products while with us.

Products left in our studio for any reasons what so ever, weather it be uncollected, your failure to contact us, unpaid invoices or items forgotten about will be stored for a maximum of 3 months only before being destroyed.

No compensation or replacement product will be provided under any circumstances.

Photography will commence following acceptance and mutual understanding of a written or verbal brief provided by our clients.

Re-shoots of rejected photographic images will be chargeable if Product Image Photography has adhered to the brief and our client makes changes to the brief after the images have been shot. Specific instructions about how you wish the products to be photographed must be made clear to us.

Product Image Photography retains copyright on all images supplied to our clients until payment has been made in full at which time full rights are transferred to the client.

Our photography is supplied with an ‘All Uses’ license, covering worldwide advertising, POS, catalogue, magazine, brochure and web use.

In the event of a client defaulting on an invoice Product Image Photography reserve the right to revoke the ‘All Uses’ license and to pull copyright without notice.

If for any reason payment is not received, either due to delay in paying, dispute over images supplied or other reason you may not use any images supplied what so ever in any circumstances in any form of media, print, web, social, presentations or marketing collateral.

Images our ours being used without rights will be invoiced to the organisation using at $800nz+GST per image, per instance. This will be strictly enforced by NZ copyright laws.

Our default licensing agreement with all clients unless specifically negotiated otherwise permits Product Image Photography full use of use any and all photos taken in our studios to be used on our own website, online or print advertisements or as part of our client portfolio and advertising stragegy, also you permit the use of your company logo on our portfolio slider or in future marketing or pitch documents.

By using customers real images as part of our portfolio allows us to keep our marketing and advertising costs to a minimum by not having to stage and shoot specific portfolio shots this results in our overheads being considerable cheaper than most our competition, a saving that we pass directly onto the client in the form of our low rates.

All products supplied to Product Image Photography must be in the condition in which they are to be photographed.

In the event of short deliveries, damaged goods or incorrect items received from our clients, Product Image Photography reserve the right to postpone the photo shoot until the shortage is made-up, the correct products are delivered or damaged items replaced.

A penalty of 10% of the total quoted price for the job may be payable to Product Image Photography should our studio schedule be affected by the above, resulting in loss of profit or studio down-time.

Product Image Photography shall have no liability to the client if it is prevented from or delayed in providing its service by acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond its reasonable control, including failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or sub-contractors.
